The Impact Fund is the foundation of the 49er Club, providing the flexible resources that strengthen Charlotte Athletics where they are needed most. As the cornerstone investment opportunity within the 49er Club, gifts to the Impact Fund support more than 400 student-athletes through scholarships, enhanced resources, and the pursuit of competitive excellence across all 19 programs.

Judy W. Rose Let Me Play Fund
About Judy W. Rose
Judy W. Rose served as Charlotte's Director of Athletics for 28 years and was a member of the athletics department for more than four decades.
One of the most respected leaders in college athletics, she was a pioneer for women in the industry and just the third female to lead a Division I athletics program at the time of her appointment in 1990.
During her tenure, Rose led the transformation of Charlotte Athletics, overseeing the addition of football, conference transitions, and more than $100 million in facility enhancements. Her leadership elevated the 49ers into a nationally competitive program while expanding opportunities and support for student-athletes across all sports.
The Let Me Play Fund honors her legacy and continues her commitment to advancing women's athletics at Charlotte.
The Judy W. Rose Let Me Play Fund is dedicated to supporting women's athletics at Charlotte, helping provide the resources and opportunities needed for student-athletes to compete and succeed at the highest level.
Gifts to Let Me Play help break down barriers and provide critical support for program needs, student-athlete development, and resources that enhance the overall experience both on and off the field. Supporting 10 women's programs and more than 190 female student-athletes, this initiative plays a vital role in strengthening women's athletics at Charlotte and advancing their continued growth and success.

Let Me Play Luncheon
The Judy W. Rose Let Me Play Luncheon is an annual networking and fundraising event dedicated to advancing the success of Charlotte 49ers women student-athletes. This luncheon unites community and business leaders to generate crucial financial support, elevate awareness and provide a meaningful opportunity to engage directly with the women who represent our university in athletics.
Niner Excellence Funds
The Niner Excellence Funds provide sport-specific giving opportunities for donors who want to directly support the program of their choice. Each sport has its own Excellence Fund, allowing contributions to be designated to areas that enhance the student-athlete experience and support program priorities.
These contributions provide financial support above each program's allocated budget, helping fund additional needs such as training resources, equipment, travel, roster retention, and recruiting.
Existing sport-specific support groups, such as the Grand Slam Club and Hat Trick Club, will be integrated into their respective Excellence Funds, creating a more streamlined and consistent approach to supporting Charlotte Athletics.
